Adequate But Nothing to Write Home About., June 8, 2011 By This review is from: Kenmore Iron with LCD Temperature Control (Kitchen) There use to be a time, in days gone by, that purchasing a Kenmore meant superior function, quality, along with durability. Now that most small household electronics are manufactured in China, the quality down slide is quite noticeable.
For the most part, this iron removes the wrinkles. It also has an automatic shut off in case one accidentally forgets to turn it off. It comes with a small plastic cup to pour water into its reservoir on the top of the handle area. There are three different settings to vary the stream strength and one only give a quick press to the button to release the steam.
What I don't like about it is that the plate doesn't get hot enough to iron out deep wrinkles. I like to iron my pillow cases and even if I take a water sprayer to get the fabric damp, with the iron set as hot as it will allow, I can't get out all the wrinkles. If you are fussy about your ironing being sharply creased and wrinkle free, I recommend you pass on this iron... Read more

I agree with the previous review that it doesn't get hot enough but with the steam it works fine for me. I don't like where the on/off button is and often turn the iron off without realizing it. I wouldn't buy this again. I bought mine at Kmart and it was the display model which is now discontinued so I got it dirt cheap.
